We are now recruiting a Regional Sales Manager to our headquarter in Tokyo.

Work assignment
• Maximize the margin and profitability at each assigned customer
• Meet & exceed the budget for your assigned territory
• Manage sales activities and resources within the defined region, including price quotes as defined by BU / Sales Management
• Negotiate with the BU and Sales Management to align your local strategy with the regional/BU/corporate ones
• Lead and coordinate appropriate technical meetings with target customers to include arranging important joint calls with marketing and technical colleagues to move business opportunities forward
• Manage business development projects for both new products in the existing business field and existing products for new applications
• Coordinate a basic package of hands-on EHSQ matters not only for new products but also for existing products
• Develop understanding of customers’ demand for products relevant to Perstorp, and continuously monitor expected developments in usage and plans with potential strategic implications for Perstorp, and communicate to Business / Sales Management
• Participate and assist in coordinating and leading regional trade shows to include customer meetings and entertainment
• Ensure efficient territory planning to effectively cover the assigned region in keeping fixed costs in line
• Follow-up on all samples and populate opportunity pipelines for key business areas whilst maintaining the ownership of accounts added to the pipelines and move the leads forward to buying accounts
• Timely provide agreed customer prices and validity to Customer Service to ensure smooth processing of orders
• Participate in internal meetings and working groups

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Degree in chemistry,chemical engineer or its adjacent fields
  • MBA is a plus

Experience

  • Longer than five (5) years of a solid technical sales experience preferably with an MNC in the chemical or its related industries
  • An experience in the polyurethane industry or coating industry is a plus

Language

  • Native Japanese speaker is a must
  • English; business level

Personality

  • Independent and proactive
  • Being a good team player to work with many stake holders
  • Understanding and experience of matrix organizations is a plus
  • Good communication skills
  • Quick in response

Location; Perstorp Japan Headquarters, Toranomon, Tokyo, Japan & more than 30% of your working hours are to be dedicated to business trips both inside and outside Japan
