Tolling Manager

In order to put more focus on our outsourced manufacturing we now strengthen the organization with a Tolling Manager.

The main responsibility will be to act as the Tolling Manager for all of Perstorp’s outsource manufacturing, securing overall effectiveness and functionality in tolling- and contract manufacturing projects to ensure that strategic objectives from business can be met. The responsibility will be divided into two main areas;

Tolling:

  • As part of Perstorp’s global Integrated Supply Chain Team the job holder will be highly involved in change management to bring the selection, qualification, and management of toll manufacturers globally within the Perstorp group to a higher level of maturity.
  • The jobholder will be part of an interdisciplinary team responsible for the relationship building and end to end operations management of toll manufacturers within Perstorp’s global production network.
  • Support, administer and improve Perstorp’s global tolling process.
  • Support, administer and improve all of Perstorp’s running tolling operations.
  • Education and training of other Perstorp-functions involved in tolling.

Outsource manufacturing in Perstorp’s assets:

  • In addition to “normal” tolling operations the jobholder will also work in close cooperation with toll commercial, procurement, maintenance-, operation-, process-, and project related divisions of both Perstorp and the partner companies for all outsource manufacturing in Perstorp’s assets. The position also includes supervising and administering investments, providing technical support and responsibility for cost of production, maintenance and investments.
  • Work closely with site controlling and capex portfolio manager to keep production related Fixed Cost and CAPEX spending forecast up to date and as correct and transparent as possible (YTD & YTG).
  • Key stakeholder in coordination and control of all plant maintenance.
  • Key stakeholder in coordination and control of all plant investments.

The position holder will be “the spider in the net” handling numerous of interfaces both internally and externally; e.g. toll commercial, outsourced manufacturers, local Supply Chain organizations, EHS-organizations, Innovation, Technology, Continuous improvements etc

The position will preferably be placed in Sweden, but it might be possible to operate also from another European Perstorp Site. Travelling is part of the job. You will report to our Director Tolling Operations.

The successful applicant possesses;

A MSc Degree in (Chemical) Engineering or equivalent and have solid chemical engineering skills with a minimum 10 years of experience in chemical plant operation, technology projects and maintenance. A broad network within the Perstorp organization is beneficial. You need to have a knowledge of chemical hazards, process safety and occupational health & safety and being familiar with requirements and processes related to Chemical industry quality standards. It’s a big advantage if you are trained in and have experienced in facilitation, auditing, incident investigation, coaching/mentoring and team leadership.

As a person you are;

  • A responsible, independent, self-propelled problem solver. You are mindful, analytic, persistent, persuasive, communicative (both verbal as written), high safety awareness, imaginary and anticipative.
  • Able to work with different projects at the same time, have a high level of integrity and be comfortable with negotiation and mediating.
  • Good at “meeting different people in different positions” everywhere. Building relations, listening but also prepared to personally “dig into the problem” and solve it “here and now”
