We now have a fantastic opportunity for a suitably experienced Business Development Manager from the feed, feed additive sector or animal health sector to join our Feed & Food Business unit. The Business Development Manager role will play a central role in managing the gut health portfolio to further develop our gut health solution business. The role will report to the Portfolio Director gut health.
Key accountabilities include:
· Manage and take responsibility for business development of the portfolio in feed mill and integrator accounts together with local partners
· Taking care of technical training of Partners and Customers
· Take part in scientific events and present Perstorp and its solutions at these events
· Making and executing national strategic marketing plans to drive business forward
· Establish good contacts with key opinion leaders in the market
· Prospect management and follow up.
This is a role which demands a solid technical background in the industry combined with a passion for business and the commercial acument to identify growth opportunities. Additionally, you will need to be able to operate on a truly global basis and embrace the many culturally different approaches that exist within a global organization.
Your main focus market will be the USA with the possibility to extend this into Canada and Mexico.
What you will need:
We are looking for someone with an M.Sc in a relevant discipline (e.g. Agronomist, Nutritionist or Veterinarian), and preferably with a focus on Poultry.
You will have a demonstrable track record of achievements in developing business in a global organization. You love to work internationally and have the drive to travel at least 50% of your time. Ideally you will have at least 3-5 years experience from within the feed industry, or certainly a related sector. Fluency in English, both orally and written, is essential. Spanish language skills would be a clear advantage.
