Increase broiler performance

Optimizing dEB i broiler feed may increase growth performance with 4-7 %. The closer we get to provide feed with the optimal dEB value 240, the less energy is spent by the kidneys to excrete excess cations and anions. The energy saved can instead be diverted into growth.

Decrease growth of harmful bacteria

Formic acid and its salts have a bacteriostatic effect on pathogenic bacteria such as Salmonella and E. coli as they help prevent the passage of harmful bacteria into the small intestine. This effect along with improved feed nutrient absorption leads to an improved gut health and less chance of pathogenic bacterial growth.
