Perstorp High school together with SKF Technical High school and ABB Industrial High school have recently been awarded the Leonardo da Vinci Quality Prize of 2012 which is administered by the International Programme Office for Education and Training in Sweden.
The three awarded schools are all involved in educating students for a future employment in any Swedish industrial company with focus on an international market. Through the cooperation between the three schools, within the frame of the Leonardo da Vinci project, the students from these schools are given the advantageous opportunity of spending some weeks in another European country. The students then learn more about culture, language and society during a period of vocational training, and the experience is highly valuable for future studies and work.
The Leonardo da Vinci project is a programme administered by the International Programme Office for Education and Training in Sweden. Vocational schools in Sweden may apply for participation in the programme and this is what Perstorp High School, SKF Technical High school and ABB Industrial High school have done when starting the cooperation with the purpose of providing a qualitative period of international vocational training for their students.
The Leonardo da Vinci Quality Price of 2012 has been awarded to the three schools in cooperation and the reason for which the award is given to the three schools is firstly because of the fact that the students have obtained very valuable knowledge in many fields during the internship period abroad. Other important reasons for the award are that the project has been very well administered and that three different Swedish industrial companies are more or less involved in the project.
Perstorp High school would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the Perstorp sites worldwide for being very cooperative and for providing workplace training placements to our students every year. At the same time we wish all of you A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
