Today, we publish the Sustainability Report for 2022. Being a sustainable solutions provider is part of our corporate mission. President & CEO Ib Jensen comments:
“Summarizing 2022, we saw an absolute decrease in our CO2-emissions, to a large extent due to lower production volumes. However, the intensity was slightly increased, mainly due to the lower production volumes combined with a lagging effect of sustainability improvement projects and activities. We developed and implemented a new governance structure with new processes and ways of working and we have initiated a number of projects and activities that will contribute to a positive impact in the years to come. The most significant project is called “Project Air”, a first-of-a-kind, large-scale production of sustainable methanol and an important part of Perstorp’s transition, which in 2022 was awarded 97 MEUR in support from the EU Innovation Fund.”
