Chemistry – a part of the solution

Even though 96% of all manufactured goods rely on chemicals, few people know the vital role chemistry plays in the transition towards a more sustainable society. In our newly released video, we explain how Perstorp and the chemical industry through collaboration in the value chain and by switching to more sustainable resources and developing circular solutions, will have a positive impact on the environment in various ways, ensuring a better future for all.

The chemical industry has had a sometimes well deserved, bad reputation in the past with people mostly focusing on the negative aspects of the industry. However, the solutions to many sustainability challenges lie within the field of chemistry. For example, chemistry can enable more effective wind power and help drive the future development of electrical vehicles. Perstorp is also shifting towards more sustainable products based on renewable and recycled raw materials, reducing greenhouse gas emissions. By doing so, we will enable more sustainable solutions with reduced impact, which support entire value chains and the transformation of thousands of end products.

Watch the video below and learn more about how Perstorp collaborate with the City of Gothenburg to develop paint that supports their ambition of climate neutral buildings, and about our transformation project towards a climate neutral chemical industry, Project Air.
