Performance of POE-Based Immersion Cooling Fluid

Access our technical paper, written in collaboration with Intel, to learn how you can improve operational safety, cooling efficiency, and reduce fluid maintenance for immersion cooling in data centers.

About the technical paper

This paper explores the effects of aging on Perstorp Polyol Ester (POE)-based immersion coolants (Synmerse™ DC) used in Intel's Open IP SuperFluid technology. It focuses on how increases in the acid number and water content impact the fluid's properties. Experimental tests revealed that the POE fluid showed no significant changes in its key properties, particularly the dielectric constant.

What you will Learn:

  • The exceptional stability and performance of POE-based immersion cooling fluids.
  • The impact of air infusion on enhancing fluid longevity and maintaining dielectric properties.
  • Detailed testing methodologies and results.
