Perstorp is a global specialty chemicals company with a strong culture built on our core values: Care, Customer Focus, Innovation Now, Enterprising, Courage to Act, and Speak Up. These values guide how we work—with responsibility, integrity, and a drive to improve.
Our vision is to be a leading specialty chemicals innovator, delivering high-performance solutions that support sustainable transformation across the value chain. With the strong backing of our owner, PCG (Petronas Chemical Group), we offer a stable platform for long-term growth and meaningful impact.
If you share our values and want to help shape the future of sustainable chemistry, we’d love to have you on board.
About the position
We’re looking for an experienced Environmental Governance Manager to drive and support environmental initiatives at both strategic and operational levels.
You’ll join our Global Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team—five professionals based in Perstorp and Malmö—reporting directly to the VP EHS. We work closely with the business to ensure EHS excellence across all levels. Our team values collaboration, clarity, and impact. We support each other, operate with autonomy, and are committed to continuous improvement.
In this role, you’ll lead key initiatives such as environmental due diligence in M&A, ISO 14001 compliance, and performance reporting. You’ll also support permitting, legal compliance, and awareness-building across the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Integrate environmental considerations into business strategies and decision-making
- Provide expert support in M&A activities through environmental due diligence and risk assessments.
- Facilitate compliance with ISO 14001 standards and maintain certification requirements.
- Ensure timely and comprehensive reporting on environmental performance and risk indicators to key stakeholders.
- Support the organization on critical environmental matters, including permit applications/renewals, legal compliance, training, and awareness initiatives.
Who are we looking for?
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in environmental management, preferably within the chemical or process industry.
- Strong knowledge of international chemical regulations and environmental standards.
- Proven expertise in conducting environmental due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and/or major projects.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001, including implementation, auditing, and continuous improvement is a plus.
To succeed in this role, you will need more than technical expertise – you will need the mindset of a true collaborator and changemaker. You are someone who thrives in a global, cross-functional environment, where communication is key and no two days are the same. You bring clarity to complexity, translating environmental goals into business value with confidence and precision.
You are proactive and solution-oriented, always a few steps ahead—whether it is identifying risks, driving improvements, or navigating regulatory landscapes. You value integrity and accountability, and you are not afraid to take ownership and lead with purpose. At the same time, you know the power of listening, learning, and lifting others up. You build trust through empathy, respect, and open dialogue, and you are energized by working in a team that shares your commitment to making a real impact.
What can we offer?
- A meaningful role in a growing global company
- Opportunities to expand your skills and influence
- A culture that values leadership, innovation, and collaboration
Welcome with your application as soon as possible but no later than the 7th of July, 2025.
