About the position
As Controller, you will take on a broad and influential role within our Italian operations — combining classic financial controlling with strategic and operational support. You will be responsible for leading the budgeting and forecasting cycles, driving financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with both Italian regulations and Group-wide policies.
This is a highly cross-functional position where you’ll collaborate closely with the local CEO and act as a key business partner across several areas — including procurement, IT, EHS, and HR coordination. You will also play a central role in aligning local practices with global standards and supporting the successful implementation of Group initiatives.
In short, this is a role for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working in a dynamic, international setting — where financial insight meets operational impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial and administrative activities, ensuring alignment with company policies and Group directives.
- Lead the management control cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance evaluation in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Deliver financial reporting, statistical analyses, and forecasting insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Support the design and optimization of information systems and operational processes to enhance financial performance, in line with Group standards.
- Supervise debt collection activities in coordination with Swedish Customer Service.
- Manage corporate insurance policies and related coverage in compliance with Group frameworks.
- Manage and coordinate the implementation and maintenance of IT systems and projects.
- Ensure compliance with local EHS legislation and actively support the development and integration of the Quality and EHS Management Systems.
- Coordinate and/or execute all activities related to procurement and contract negotiation for general services, lease agreements, and office-related purchases.
- Collaborate in issuing annual generic contracts in accordance with the technical/financial requests received from the relevant departments.
- Collaborate with the CEO on personnel management.
- Coordinate local and Group-driven strategic projects, acting as the key local interface.
- Being responsible for the processing of " Privacy Protection".
- Support and ensure adherence to health and safety standards within the department, in line with Legislative Decree 81/2008.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a confident and proactive finance professional with a strong understanding of Italian financial legislation and the ability to operate effectively in a multinational environment. You combine deep technical competence with a collaborative mindset and are energized by both operational responsibility and strategic involvement.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be structured, independent, and capable of navigating complexity — while also thriving in cross-functional settings and building strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
We believe you bring:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (or equivalent education)
- At least 5 years of experience in financial controlling or administration, ideally within an international company operating under Italian legislation
- Solid understanding of Italian tax regulations and compliance frameworks; familiarity with IFRS is a strong advantage
- High knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP (preferably SAP S/4 HANA) and other financial/administrative IT systems
- A working knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) management systems
- Full professional proficiency in both Italian and English — written and spoken — is essential
- A strong sense of ownership: you take initiative, see opportunities, and act on them
- The ability to work independently while also contributing actively as part of multiple cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and align stakeholders across different functions and cultural backgrounds
What can we offer?
At Perstorp, you’ll find room to grow, challenge, and learn. With our international presence, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and connect with colleagues across borders. While we operate in many markets, we remain a company where every individual can make a real difference.
