Most of our Pro-Environment products are based on a traceable mass balance concept with chemical and physical traceability, but we are also moving into partly segregated biobased products as we have now driven our transformation for 15+ year. The Pro-Environment products are designed to reduce the carbon footprint throughout the value chain and to support sustainable sourcing of renewable and recycled raw materials. Pro- Environment products are chemically identical to their fossil counterparts, offering the same quality without trade-off in performance. The only difference lies in the raw materials, whose origins are renewable or recycled instead of virgin fossil.

Verified claims and certified throughout the value chain 

Today all our Pro-Environment products are certified according to the sustainability certification system ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification). ISCC PLUS provides companies, brand owners and end consumers with the assurance that high sustainability requirements are met. Our products, the mass balance as well as our product carbon footprint calculations are ISCC PLUS certified. Going forward we will also introduce RSPO certifications and C-14 statements.

Every Pro-Environment customer receives a Sustainability Declaration with information about the sustainable content of the product as well as the product carbon footprint data. This gives Pro-Environment customers the opportunity to measure progress against own CO2e-targets, and to take it further into your own products and value chains. By choosing Pro-Environment products, you contribute to reduced greenhouse gas emissions in your value chain, break fossil dependence and obtain valuable propositions for your business.

An expanding product portfolio

Since the launch of the first Pro-Environment product Voxtar™ in 2010, Perstorp has significantly expanded its portfolio of Pro-Environment products to now include polyols, acids, alcohols, plasticizers and specialty products. We now have ISCC PLUS certified production plants and warehouses in all three regions and supporting our customers by continuously expanding to meet market needs. Going forward we will also expand into new certifications and statements as well as segregated origins. Our ambition is that all Perstorp products will be Pro-Environment in the future. With roadmaps set out until 2030 and 2035 we proactively work with the shift of raw materials and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. All in line with Perstorp´s ambitious targets.
