Summary of calculation |
---|
Case 1 - Operating costing savings
Savings by running the FDG plant with one recirculation pump less, keeping the SO₂ emissions level constant.
Operating costing savings | |
---|---|
Savings in electrical power | 25.2 kW |
Cost savings from electrical power | 500 000 euro/year |
Case 2 - Removal efficiency increase
When operating the FGD with unchanged nbr of recirculation pumps, the SO₂ removal efficiency improved by adding buffering agents can instead be used to lower the SO₂ emissions. Below is an indication on the removal efficiency increase.
Removal efficiency increase | |
---|---|
SO₂ Removal efficiency increase | 32.6 % |
Thank you for contacting us!

The tool calculations is based on forced oxidation with gypsum as output. You indicate that you have an inhibited system (no gypsum). Therefore you plant has higher saving potential than shown in our calculations.
Unfortunately our Sodium Formate solution doesn't seem to fit in your system. Buffering agents add value to wet limestone based FGD systems by stabilizing the pH. If you would like to know more your are more than welcome to contact us.
