Perstorp and E.ON sign agreement to upgrade power capacity at Perstorp Industrial Park in Sweden
On 3 October, an agreement was signed between Perstorp and E.ON, the grid owner, to upgrade the electrical connection from 20kV local grid to a more powerful 130kV regional grid at Perstorp Industrial Park.
This is a comprehensive infrastructure project that will enable great opportunities for the Industrial Park in Perstorp by practically doubling the power capacity.
”The new connection will enable us to offer existing tenants at the Industrial Park more power and the opportunity to expand. Thanks to the new connection, we can also welcome new tenants into the park”, says Michael Cronqvist, Site Manager at site Perstorp.
The project consists of:
- Strengthening of E.ON's network in several substations in the county of Skåne and Småland
- A new overhead line outside the industrial park
- A new receiving station jointly owned by E.ON and Perstorp in close proximity to the park
The new grid station is planned to be ready for use in 2028, and full completion of of the project, both new substations and upgrades within the park are completed in 2029.
