Perstorp has since the outbreak of COVID-19 implemented actions in order to avoid possible disruptions to our business as well as to protect our employees. The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting us all globally but with our core values as a platform for our operations also in challenging times, Perstorp remains committed to our business with Care, Responsibility, Reliability and Focused Innovation.
Perstorp measures related to COVID-19
COVID-19 has required us to find other ways of communicating and meeting with our valued customers and partners. We will continue to utilize and introduce digital solutions to secure efficient ways to communicate and collaborate.
Our production sites and offices around the world are following local regulations and have implemented precautionary measures accordingly to protect employees and visitors. Since the middle of March customers are served by employees working from their home instead of our offices. Production sites have sharpened their safety routines, restricted acceptance of external visitors and transports to all Perstorp areas are checked and required to declare previous destinations.
Production and supply
Despite the challenges that COVID-19 presents, our Security of Supply Planning has served us well and we have up to date not experienced any major disturbances to our internal supply chain and ability to produce according to agreements and sales orders. The current land and sea freight conditions are showing increased rates and longer lead times than usual to confirm availability of trucks, containers and vessel space. More countries across the globe have implemented restrictions within their territories as well as at their borders, although not directly targeting the transport of goods, it still causes congestion at the borders and longer time for border clearance and delivery of goods.
