Helene Dérand elected to Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences’ Chemical Engineering Division
On Tuesday, December 2, the Academy Assembly of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) decided to elect Helene Dérand, Vice President Global Innovation at Perstorp Group, as a member of IVA’s Chemical Engineering Division.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) is an independent academy uniting around 1,300 members and 250 companies to promote engineering, economic sciences, and industry in Sweden. IVA fosters collaboration across sectors, publishes influential reports, and hosts forums on innovation and technology, strengthening Sweden’s global standing in innovation and sustainability.
Helene Dérand has built her career by combining scientific expertise with industrial innovation. She has a research background in polymers and chemical engineering, which has given her a deep understanding of materials development and its importance for the sustainable society of the future. In her current role as Vice President Global Innovation at Perstorp Group, she leads global innovation strategies and develops sustainable solutions for the paint, plastics, and chemical industries.
