Meet our HSEQ – Manager at site Sayakha, Mitesh Marvaniya

Mitesh Marvaniya joined Perstorp 2019, and he is proud to be the first employee on site to witness and support the entire construction throughout the project tenure.  Mitesh is responsible for ensuring all the legal compliance of local regulations are met related to environment, health and safety. He is also responsible for interpreting and drafting procedures to meet the global minimum requirements.  

“Since I joined Perstorp I have been contributing to project and construction safety along with our partner and other construction agencies, at a peak of project we had approx. 1200 workers on site. Meanwhile I am also privileged to be able to support the organization by taking on the construction manager role for coordination of field activities “, Mitesh shares. 

Another important task for Mitesh is to support team members so they understand the requirements. He is also responsible for all the quality analysis of raw material, in process materials and finished products along with the quality manager and a team of chemists.  

“I admire the culture of openness, trust and collaboration at Perstorp. One of the best parts of my role is the sense of accomplishment by protecting human life and environment, as we are still working with Zero Lost Time Incidents since groundbreaking ceremony to this date”, says Mitesh.  

Mitesh explains that sharing learnings from different sites is key to perform in his role and in order to set, as well as reach, expectations. The culture of care implemented at Perstorp is also something that he mentions as a key factor for visible felt leadership, and core values to be lived by at site Sayakha.
