Today Perstorp released its Sustainability Report for 2024
Perstorp has set ambitious 2030 targets for the areas that we have identified that we have the largest impact: Climate, Water, Waste and (Eco) toxic impact. In 2024, we reduced the intensity in all of our 2030 target areas, with the exception of waste. The reductions are the result of continuous and systematic development and execution of our 2030 roadmaps. According to the roadmaps, we are on track to realizing our targets in 2030.

Our parent company PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG) posted their Q1 results for 2025 on May 20. The report shows that the specialties segment, where Perstorp is included, reported improved sales across all product categories, with notable growth in Oxo products, following market restocking activities.

Breaking the myth: recycled PET in heat resistant food packaging. It’s possible.
Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) is a widely used thermoplastic polymer known for its clarity, strength, barrier properties and wide processability. It is commonly found in beverage bottles, food containers, and packaging films, and one of the most significant advantages of PET is its recyclability. It can be recycled into new products, supporting the circular economy by reducing waste and conserving resources. Unfortunately, one thing amorphous PET, is not good at is withstanding high temperatures.
