Perstorpはこのほど、欧州の化学産業における化石資源依存からの脱却を目指す「RE-carbonization」に関するホワイトペーパーを公開しました。医薬品、衣料、家電、スマートフォンなど、現代生活に欠かせない多くの製品は化学品と炭素原子を基盤として成り立っています。しかし現在、その炭素のほとんどは石油や天然ガスなどの化石資源由来であり、製品のライフサイクルの終わりには大気中へ放出されています。
