Perstorp acquires remaining shares in Hansol Perstorp Co., Ltd

In conjunction with the share purchase Perstorp has also acquired additional land from Hansol Chemicals which facilitates further expansion of the business in Korea.


“Our joint venture with Hansol Chemicals started on 1 June 2003 as a step in Perstorp’s expansion strategy for TMP and as an important part of our establishment in Asia. Acquiring the remaining shares means that we will further strengthen our position in Asia and that we can optimise production globally,” says Mats Olofsson, responsible for business in Korea. “We will continue to work closely together with Hansol Chemicals also in future as both companies are active in the same production segment and we’ll therefore share certain facilities.


The name of the wholly-owned Perstorp company will be Perstorp Chemicals Korea Co., Ltd. The final official signing ceremony will be at Perstorp on 11 April 2006.
