Ambition Finite Material Neutral
We aim to develop Perstorp into a company which does not contribute to the depletion of finite materials and have initiated a programme which focuses on selected key areas.
It’s time for the next step. Perstorp has set a clear direction.
Finite materials are resources that cannot be created or produced, once the original stores are depleted, or those that are used up at a greater rate than nature can replenish.
Becoming Finite Material Neutral would mean switching to alternative resources that are abundant and/or renewable, or to close the loops in order to recycle or reuse those that are finite. As a start, we are looking into a number of areas where we will turn things upside down to achieve our ambition.
It will not happen over night and we are humble about our target. But it needs to be done. We don’t have a plan B, because we’ve only got one planet.
To reach our ambition to become Finite Material Neutral we have selected a number of focus areas where we see that we can make a difference. They are: Raw-materials, Energy, Waste, Water and Catalysts. Our strive is to move towards:
- Renewable/recycled or reclaimed raw materials and energy
- No waste from our own processes, products and activities
- Continuously lowering our total water footprint
- Catalysts only using recycled/reclaimed/not of any endangered sorts metals and minerals
