ProPhorce™ AC 299 is a source of sodium that is as effective as sodium bicarbonate. Importantly it also consists of formate, which in presence of protons will be converted into formic acid effectively increasing total feed acidifier content.
Using ProPhorce™ AC 299 improves a number of important parameters for layer performance and egg quality. The figure below shows the effect of sodium formate given to layers measured as percentage difference relative to a control where no product was given.
Additionally, including ProPhorce™ AC 299 will increase calcium and phosporous levels in the blood. This improves the egg shell quality without compromizing the hens metabolic balance of these ions.
