Jan Secher succeeds Martin Lundin as President and CEO of Perstorp

Perstorp Holding AB (publ), a leading specialty chemical producer, is announcing today that Perstorp President and CEO, Martin Lundin, will be leaving his position and that Jan Secher, most recently CEO of Ferrostaal AG, will succeed him in the role. Mr. Lundin will remain involved in certain strategic projects of Perstorp including Perstorp’s Vencorex joint venture.

Martin Lundin said:

“With a number of portfolio restructuring activities behind us, a long term financing in place and a number of key strategic investments approved by the Board, it is time for a new CEO to lead Perstorp into its next phase of growth. It has been a privilege to lead this company and I have great admiration for the people I have worked with over all these years. I wish Jan every success in his new role.”

Jan Secher has held a number of CEO positions, most recently with Ferrostaal AG, where he was brought in to establish new business practices as well as to set a strategic direction for the company. Mr. Secher was also CEO of the chemical company Clariant from 2006 - 2008, a global leader in specialty chemicals where he led the successful turnaround of the business; other experiences include SICPA, a leading global provider of ink solutions, as well as ABB. Mr. Secher is currently also a Board member of Elekta and Holmstaden A/S.

"Perstorp represents a big potential given the successful work that has been put in over the last couple of years to focus the company on globally strong market positions, almost all of them underpinned with a vertically integrated supply chain. I am thoroughly looking forward to leading the team in driving this development further and capitalizing on the opportunities", stated Jan Secher.

Fabrice Fouletier, PAI Partners and Chairman of Perstorp Group, commented:

“I would like to thank Martin for his great service at Perstorp since 1995, and notably as CEO since 2009. During that time he has successfully led Perstorp through challenging times, and we wish him every success in the future. We appreciate that Martin has accepted to continue to stay involved in some of our strategic projects. I am delighted to welcome Jan to Perstorp. He has a tremendous track record notably in the chemical space and we look forward to him leading Perstorp in its next stage of development, focused on profitable growth.”

Mr. Secher will join Perstorp during September 2013.
