Why did you choose to work at Perstorp?
‘Because I wanted to make a difference in animal health. I used to work as a scholar, but I felt too far away from the field. As a Business Development Manager, I can actually close the gap between innovation and the needs of the market. Technique, logistics, law, research: I dive into a broad range of challenging questions to offer the market the best solutions for animals’ health.’
What do you like best about your job?
‘The multi angle approach it demands. I have to know about technique, logistics, law, research… And since Perstorp operates globally, things can differ from country to country… Seeing things from different angles challenges me. I need to be challenged.’
What are your colleagues like?
‘I noticed a lot of colleagues are intrinsically motived to make things better. Not out of competition, but out of sheer curiosity. Whether it is a system, a process or a product, we want to know how to improve it. Ideas are shared in an open and constructive way. Our team is really tight.’
Do you think you are making a difference in animal health?
‘Definitely. Solutions are most needed, since animal health also affects human health. Antibiotic resistance is one of the greatest threats we face. Breeding animals without the use of antibiotics is highly important. By making feed additives for healthy breeding, Perstorp enhances animal and human health. This also has a positive effect on the environment: a healthy animal is a sustainable animal.’
