Emission of process gas at the Oxo plant in Stenungsund

Before lunch today, there was an emission of process gas at Perstorp’s Oxo plant in Stenungsund. Intensive work has been ongoing together with the local fire brigade to stop the leakage. The leakage has now been stopped and repair work has started.

The current wind conditions made the gas leakage dissolve quickly in the air, and there has been no harm to the public, neither to the environment. One employee has been taken to hospital for observation overnight as a routine measure.

Investigations have started to find out what caused the leakage.
