New President and CEO for Perstorp

21 August 2006

Bo Dankis will take over as President and CEO of the Perstorp Group from Lennart Holm on 1 October 2006. Lennart has held the post since the summer of 2001.

Lennart Holm will take over the position as Chairman of the Board of the Perstorp Group from the same date, where he will replace Dominique Mégret (PAI partners) who will stay on as a board member. Going forward Lennart Holm is to focus on realization of the owners growth ambitions for the group. The shift does not imply any principle change in strategy or direction for the company.

Bo Dankis was born in 1954 and trained as a civil engineer at The Linköping Institute of Technology.

Throughout his long and successful career he has built up extensive experience of international business in the industrial sector and has held leading positions in countries such as Japan and France for companies such as ABB and Assa Abloy. Bo’s most recent position was as CEO of Assa Abloy, a global engineering industry group.

“Perstorp faces many exiting challenges and also shows great development potential with a strong base to work from. I also believe that Perstorp has a stable and constructive owner, a strong and experienced management team and extremely expert and motivated workforce. I am really looking forward to getting started,” says Bo in his first comments where he expresses both joy and enthusiasm for working as President and CEO of the Perstorp Group.

Lennart Holm’s decision to step into a new role has matured during the last 6 months as it has become increasingly obvious that combining both the operative- and strategic perspectives is too time consuming.

In a comment he says, “I am very pleased that we’ve managed to recruit Bo as the new CEO of the group, he will be a huge asset for us. This will allow me in my role as Chairman of the Board to focus more on the Group’s long-term development. Our owners have ambitious growth targets and we need to deliver on these.

I believe very strongly in Perstorp and its future. Being on my sixth year as President and CEO its also going to be personally stimulating and I believe revitalising for the Perstorp with some change.”
