The units within the Perstorp Group have efficient source-sorting systems and procedures for ensuring that only approved transport and waste-handling companies are used.

The total quantity of waste within the Perstorp Group in 2007 amounted to 64 kton (2006:86). The fall was due to reclassification of non-hazardous waste as a bi-product at the Perstorp and Stenungsund plants as there is a market for these products, while some bi-products can be used as energy raw material.
