 Formalin technology: Perstorp Formox supplies complete, highly efficient plants for the production of formalin. In fact, we’ve supplied half of all new formalin plants built worldwide during the past 10 years. This success is built on a continuous series of process development breakthroughs, most of which can be retrofitted on existing plants.
Formalin, the aqueous solution of formaldehyde, is a key raw material, primarily for adhesives for the wood panel industry and as a building block for a wide variety of chemical industries and processes, including downstream production at other units within the Perstorp Group.
Process catalysts: We also develop and supply the oxide catalysts that are required in our own and other oxide processes. And we provide active technical support, often for decades, to help our customers achieve efficient, safe and profitable production.
