Perstorp’s RME (rapeseed methyl ester) bio-fuel has made its way over the Öresund Link and is now, appropriately, at the centre of events – namely at the climate conference that’s underway in Copenhagen. 

“The Danish transport commission has granted financial support to a project to try out bio-fuel on buses and trucks in Denmark. The project has been running for a while and Perstorp’s RME was first tried a few months ago thanks to our partner Biofuel Express,” says a pleased Susanne Eckersten, Product Manager for RME. “It’s really great that it’s happening now with climate issues being the key focus at the climate conference!” 

The aim of the project is to be able to replace fossil fuels with renewable alternatives for public transport in Denmark, which is an exciting business opportunity for Perstorp!
