Perstorp to discontinue production of DMBA
Specialty chemicals company Perstorp has decided to discontinue its production of the specialty polyol DMBA (Dimethylol butanoic acid). Estimation is that sufficient inventories will be able to supply the market up to one year from now.
As a consequence of production efficiency improvements, specialty chemicals company Perstorp has decided to discontinue its production of the specialty polyol DMBA. Estimation is that sufficient inventories will be able to supply the market up to one year from now.
"It was a tough decision to take since we have invested a lot in this product and so have our customers. We will do our utmost to support our customers by offering technical support to those that want to reformulate”, says Per-Erik Velin, Vice President Specialty Polyols.
