Perstorp increases prices October 1st
Specialty chemicals company Perstorp will increase prices for polyols Penta, TMP and Neo as well as for ester alcohol NX795 effective October 1st, 2009 or as existing contracts permits.
Effective October 1st, 2009 or as existing contracts permit Perstorp will increase the price for Pentaerythritol (Penta) by EUR 120/MT in Europe, 6 c/lb in the Americas and USD 170/MT in all other markets; Trimethylolpropane (TMP) by EUR 120/MT in Europe, 11 c/lb in North America and USD 250/MT in all other markets. Neopentyl Glycol (Neo) will increase by EUR 120/MT in Europe, 11 c/lb in North America and USD 250/MT on all other markets.
Furthermore Perstorp will also increase the price for NX 795 ester alcohol in Europe by EUR 100/MT and on overseas markets by USD 150/MT.
Prices are being increased due to substantially higher cost of operation mainly related to raw materials, energy and freight.
