Emoltene® - Perstorp’s new trademark for PVC plasticizers

The trademark for Perstorp’s next generation of general purpose PVC plasticizer is Emoltene® 100.

DPHP was temporarily named Peraflex 100 but is now replaced with Emoltene® 100 to mark the beginning of a new era of PVC plasticizers from Perstorp.

Dioctyl phthalate (DOP) has been the dominant plasticizer in the market for the past 30 years but in the long-term it will be phased out due to the more stringent, upcoming EU regulations (REACH). Emoltene® 100 on the other hand has a very similar technical performance to DOP but has a better environmental profile matching the strict environmental demands required by REACH.

This new generation of general purpose plasticizers for PVC is characterized by low viscosity and is highly effective. Emoltene® 100 performs well in all major PVC applications like cables, flooring, film, coatings and coated fabrics. The low volatility, slow migration and solvent resistance are among the properties that are highly appreciated.

All products formerly marketed under the name Peraflex are from now on sold under the name Emoltene®.
