Perstorp increases price for 2-EHA and Penta

Effective July 1st, 2009 or as existing contracts permit Perstorp will increase the prices for 2-Ethylhexanoic Acid and Pentaerythritol.

Perstorp increases price on 2-Ethylhexanoic Acid
Effective April 1st, 2009 or as existing contracts permit Perstorp will increase the price for 2-Ethylhexanoic Acid by

85 EUR/MT in Europe
0.05 USD/lb in USA, Canada & Mexico
120 USD/MT in South and Central America
120 USD/MT in Asia, Africa & Middle East

Price increase is driven by increased cost of raw materials.

Perstorp increases price for Penta
Effective July 1st, 2009 or as existing contracts permits, Perstorp increases price for Pentaerythritol (Penta) by EUR 100/MT in Europe, 5 c/lb in North America and USD 125/MT in all other markets. 

Prices are increased in order to restore profitability.
