Perstorp mothballs Penta production in Chile
Specialty chemicals company Perstorp has decided to mothball its Penta production in El Salto, Chile. Measures have also been taken to lower the ambitions of the Perstorp administrative functions in Sweden.
The market situation for Penta has undergone a drastic change in recent years with additional capacity and lower demand resulting in a global overcapacity. In order to meet the new market situation, Perstorp has decided to mothball its Penta production in El Salto, Chile.
80 employees are affected by this decision.
Perstorp has also taken measures to lower its ambitions and increase efficiency of the administrative functions, resulting in a surplus of 21 employees in Perstorp, Sweden.
