Shortage of Calcium formate
Due to the massive decline mainly in the construction and automotive industry caused by the financial crises, the availability of Calcium formate will be severely influenced. Calcium formate is a co-product to Pentaerytriol (Penta), which main application is paint, a sector significantly influenced by the decline in the construction industry.
After a period of reduced production of Penta we have decided to temporarily shut down production until market demand has recovered. Calcium formate is mainly used in the feed market and in the construction industry. As a consequence of the temporary shut down availability of Calcium formate will be very limited, we regret that this will cause problems for our customers, but we hope they have understanding for the measures taken.
