Perstorp to restart Bruchhausen plant in two steps
Perstorp’s production unit in Bruchhausen, Germany, that was seriously damaged by a dust explosion and fire on September 12 will be restarted in two steps.
The plant, that produces Pentaerithritol, Di-pentaertithritol, Calcium formate, Procid CF30 and Charmor, has been shut down since, for assessment of damages incurred to the plants control room and power central.
The plan is to rebuild and restart approximately 40% of the capacity by the end of 2006. Remaining capacity is planned to come back on stream by the latest during second quarter 2007.
