Boltorn® P500 for UV-curable hardcoats
Perstorp is now launching the dendritic polymer polyol Boltorn® P500 as an oligomer pre-cursor for UV-curable hardcoats.
It is a liquid product with a molecular weight of 1500 g/mole, a viscosity of 12 000 mPas at 23 °C, and a hydroxyl value of 590 mg KOH/g. When acrylated, Boltorn® P500 yields low-viscosity UV-curable acrylates with excellent scratch and chemical resistance, high reactivity, and good adhesion and flexibility. These benefits make acrylates from Boltorn P500 ideal for UV-curable hardcoats used on flexible substrates such as polycarbonates, polyesters and polyolefins.
