Plastic coatings are used in various industries, such as automotive, ENE (Electric and Electrical), cosmetic, sport and leisure...etc. because paints provide better appearance (get special effects/colours and hide moulding defects) and enhance the technical properties of plastic materials, such as: impact, chemical and weathering resistance.
Polyurethane based on aliphatic isocyanates is the preferred technology to coat plastics, because 2K PU coatings match the flexibility of the substrate and bring excellent weathering
resistance. In addition, they cure at room temperature or can be forced dried between 50 to 80°C, which is very well adapted to most of the plastic materials, which show low heat resistance.
