Name: Philippe Thevenin Position: R & D Associate
|
In the Process and Catalyst group, where I have been since November 2004, I am directly involved in the development of catalysts for different chemical processes.
As project manager I am mainly focused on improving the life expectancy of catalysts used for the production of formaldehyde from methanol. I am also involved in other catalyst development related projects and studies.
I was originally employed by Perstorp Formox in 2002 to study possibilities for development of combustion catalysts for application in micro-turbines. During that period, I split my time between Perstorp Formox and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm where I was completing my PhD studies. The pre-study resulted in a R&D project for Perstorp Formox to develop and manufacture a combustion catalyst, adding to the product portfolio.
Perstorp is a company with an open culture and plenty of room for individual initiative and development. As an employer, Perstorp is actively supportive of its employees and provides a professional working environment. |
