The chemical plant is a major part of the economical environment in Grenoble, in the heart of the french Alps. This site was created in 1916. It is made up by several companies around a strong industrial complementarity, based on chlorine and phosgene chemistry.
The ambition of Perstorp in Pont-de-Claix is to assert the plant as the european reference of the isocyanates chemistry, in order to ensure the sustainable development of the activities.
This will is based on excellence in safety and environment, competitivness of the productions and involvment of the employees (about 570 people) in a continuous progress system.
The isocyanates are intermediates mainly used in materials (polyurethanes foams) or coatings (paints, varnishes…).
The outlets of these products are automotive, aeronautical, furnishings, industry.
