Perstorp - Specialty Chemicals Company - Production plants - Evergem - Holland - Polyols - Formate - FormaldehydePerstorp Oxo Belgium is located in the industrial area Durmakker in the community of Evergem (near Gent).

The site was established in 1990 and started with the production of formaldehyde and resins. Since 1995 the plant produces diols and ester-alcohols for the coating and plastic-processing industries including special plasticizers.

In 2006 production of formate was added. Formate is used in the oil drilling industry and as de-icer.

Today, the site is a typical multi purpose plant.
